Networking - Part 3

So I have spoken to a fellow designer Lennard about networking in business and personal life. Lennard said that a lot of his networking occurs via the Internet either over facebook or other social networking sites. He also keeps business cards with him at all times, just in case someone wants to know more about him. If Lennard finds a business connection he would like to keep in contact with, he will e-mail them regularly and exchange interests. Many of his contacts he has also met through the World skills Competition. But I am covering this more in depth on my Networking Document.

OHS - 99% Complete

I have finally finished my OHS booklet. I only have to put images into the booklet and it is complete. I have made my booklet in Adobe In Design and the booklet is approximately 16 pages in length. I was hoping to have my OHS booklet in a couple of weeks ago, but other work has taken priority since the OHS booklet isn't actually due until the end of semester.

I will see if I can lend A camera in today's class and take photos for my OHS booklet.

Networking Continued

With most of my work focusing on other assignments, I must admit that I have given myself a break from the Networking Assignment. I am going to re-commence work on my Networking Assignment this week.
I have a interview lined up with a designer by the name of Lennard Schutter, I will be asking him how he manages networking, and how to effectively conduct networking on a professional and personal level.
I am communicating with him via the Internet, since he lives in Holland. I am looking forward to learning from him, as one of my major flaws is networking. I spend a lot of time either at work or at home and as a result my networking skills are not as good as they should be.
Perhaps, with the knowledge gained during this assignment, i will develop my networking skills to a higher level.

I will post the results of the interview once it has been completed this week.

OHS Continued

For my OHS assignment, i am creating my OHS handbook in Adobe InDesign. I am aiming to keep the OHS handbook simple, yet informative. My handbook will include questions and images for the user to interact with. The final product will be uploaded into dropbox, then the appropriate link to the file given. The final product should be ready to be submitted by the end of the week.
